The Symphonia comes home

While The Symphonia had to cancel several performances at the tail end of its 2019-2020 season, fans of the Boca Raton-based orchestra will not have to go without the talents of its musicians.
Every Thursday, the Symphonia is presenting The Symphonia At Home, on Facebook Live. The series started with a video of artistic director and principal trumpet Jeffrey Kaye (pictured above), performing the trumpet in his back porch with his dog, Gidget. Other videos have featured past performances and behind-the-scenes looks at how musicians prepare for a performance, giving viewers a chance to get to know Symphonia members in an informal and fun format.
“Just because we’re all hunkered down at home doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a little live music from the professional musicians of The SYMPHONIA,” said executive director Annabel Russell. “This series will hopefully bring a little joy to those who view it, and frankly, we don’t know what to expect – we’re leaving the artistic creativity up to each musician, so this should be fun!”
View the videos Thursdays at 5 p.m. on The Symphonia’s Facebook page. The videos will be available after the live airing as well. For more information, visit visit thesymphonia.org or call 561.376.3848.
