The Boat Show Is Back

After exceeding expectations last year during the high tide of COVID-19, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show returns in full force for its 62nd edition. Bahia Mar Yachting Center (801 Seabreeze Blvd.) will serve as home base from Oct. 27-31 for an exhibition—owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and produced by Informa Markets—that features more world and U.S. debuts of products, accessories and luxury vessels than any boat show in the country.

“The marine industry has been fortunate to experience unprecedented success over the last year,” says Phil Purcell, CEO/President of the MIASF. “Area manufacturers, brokers and marine service professionals whose businesses impact the local economy all year will be joined by their global counterparts showcasing the best products and services the industry has to offer.”

The largest in-water showcase for boats and marine exhibits—which generated $714 million in products sold during the 2019 event, part of a $1.3 billion economic impact for the state—has plenty in store during its five-day run.

Among the highlights:

  • Superyacht Village: An unmatched collection of superyachts and exhibits will be on display, including personal submarines and exotic collectible automotive items.
  • Windward VIP Club: This exclusive indoor/outdoor destination boasts shore and water views of all the festivities, not to mention premium open bar and gourmet food offerings.
  • AquaZone: This engaging attraction is designed to give showgoers a personal experience with a variety of water sports and innovative marine products.
  • Hook the Future: Capt. Don Dingman hosts interactive fishing clinics for children (ages 4 to 16).

One-day general admission tickets are $37; two-day GA tickets go for $63. Visit flibs.com/en/attend/tickets.html for show information and AllSecure standards.
