Swing for Kids’ Sake Golf Tournament

THE EVENT  Swing for Kids’ Sake draws a team of NFL greats, led by Miami Dolphin Shawn Wooden and Ki-Jana Carter, to organize this annual golf tournament in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available to put your company in front of dozens of South Florida’s most influential leaders. Golf enthusiasts are encouraged to sign up for a relaxing afternoon of golf including fine food, cold drinks, awards and a fabulous silent auction. On the course, we will host hole-in-one prizes with cars, trips and other great awards available to participants. You’ll want to be on top of your short game to try and win one of the tournament’s coveted trophies.

The prized Weston Hills Country Club, one of the most recognized championship golf courses in the state, will host this summer’s event, which takes advantage of South Florida’s luxurious tropical setting. Kicking off this year’s event will be the Weston Hills Golf Challenge, featuring course pros Ernie Ruiz and Rick Myatt, who are currently seeking donor pledges in a contest to see the number of holes they can play in a day. All funds raised support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward.

THE CAUSE  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County is part of the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, providing children facing adversity with strong, professionally-supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Partnering with parents/guardians, schools, corporations and others in the community, Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully pairs children (“Littles”) with screened volunteer mentors (“Bigs”) and monitors and supports these matches throughout their course.
