Sustainability inspires new cocktail at 1 Hotel South Beach

1 Hotel South Beach has made a name for itself in the sphere of sustainability. A frequent partner of Debris Free Oceans, an organization that works to clean and protect the oceans, this location is riddled with amenities that are connected to nature and centered around sustainability.

1 Hotel’s newest addition is one that everyone can get behind: sustainable cocktails. The “Delia” cocktail features Appleton signature blend mixed with chareau aloe vera liqueur, coconut water, lime and hibiscus. As an added touch, this drink is garnished with a reusable 1 Hotel straw to reduce waste. It can be purchased at 1 Hotel’s rooftop restaurant, WATR, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this specialty cocktail goes toward Debris Free Oceans.

The “Delia” gets its name from the Delia Whale that resides in the lobby of 1 Hotel South Beach. This statue was carefully crafted from plastic pollution found in oceans and aims to raise awareness toward the protection of the ocean and sustainable practices.

How to craft the perfect Delia cocktail:

1.5 oz. Appleton Reserve
0.50 oz. Chareau Aloe Liqueur
1 oz. Simple Syrup
0.75 oz. Lemon
3 oz Coconut Water
1 Coconut Shell

Instructions: Combine batched ingredients into a coconut shell and garnish.
