Smorgasburg Miami, the city’s largest outdoor food market, is preparing for the return of its beloved Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. Now in its third year, this vibrant event will be held at Smorgasburg in Wynwood on Saturday, February 1 (12 p.m. – 10 pm.) and Sunday, February 2 (12 p.m. – 8 p.m.). The weekend will offer a rich celebration of Asian cultures, featuring delicious cuisine, interactive entertainment, and fun activities for all ages.
Smorgasburg’s Chinese Lunar New Year celebration is one of its most popular events, attracting over 40,000 attendees throughout the weekend. This free, open-to-the-public event will showcase guest vendors serving a variety of Asian cuisines, alongside Asian-inspired specials from Smorgasburg’s regular vendors. This year’s lineup features specialty dishes inspired by the flavors of China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, and beyond. Guests can indulge in delights such as Filipino egg rolls, Korean fried chicken sandwiches, crispy sinigang lechon kawali, hot pot beef sandwiches, and bao buns. For dessert, expect ube-infused cookies and cakes, as well as matcha-inspired treats. Smorgasburg’s bar will also join the festivities, offering cocktails like the Lychee Mimosa and White Dragon, plus Lucky Buddha beer and sake.
The weekend will feature a packed schedule of interactive activities and entertainment, including crowd favorites like the lion dance, calligraphy workshops, pottery classes, karaoke, and more. Special, one-weekend-only guest vendors and some of their highlighted dishes include:

- Keyks (Philippines): Filipino-inspired Twinkie-style cakes and Halo-Halo shaved ice desserts
- Kitchenfinity(Philippines): Stuffed jalapeño longanisa lumpia and crispy sinigang lechon kawali
- Kitty Boba Teahouse (Taiwan): Milk tea, fruit tea, matcha, and Asian-inspired pastries
- Kuya Bear Food (Philippines): Filipino egg rolls and wraps
- Mr. Takoyaki (Japan) – Takoyaki Senpai
- Nam’s Sando (Japan) – Japanese Sandos
- Petezpop (International): Imported snacks and sodas
- Poke Smash (Japan): A mix of Hawaiian and Japanese flavors
- Salamat Cookies! (Philippines): Asian-inspired oatmeal cookies and ube lattes
