Smorgasburg Miami Food Market Plans to Reopen After Refresh

The outdoor food market will reopen on Sept. 28 with new offerings.

Smorgasburg Miami, the city’s biggest open-air food market, has temporarily closed for the month of September. After revamping its space, it plans to reopen on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29. Smorgasburg Miami’s choice to take a break is in line with its dedication to consistently enhancing the experience for its visitors.

“We’ve been operating non-stop for the last couple of years and wanted to use this small break in September to make Smorgasburg the most exciting it’s ever been,” says Gaston Becherano, owner of Smorgasburg Miami. “We’re also in the thick of new tastings as we get ready to reopen with some really exciting new vendors.”

As part of the update, Smorgasburg Miami is offering opportunities for a limited number of new vendors to join its community. They are looking to accept five new vendors who can bring a unique culinary experience to Miami. Whether they excel in a specific cuisine, are aspiring chefs, or are passionate food and beverage entrepreneurs, Smorgasburg wants to hear from them. Interested vendors can apply here

During the break, the Smorgasburg space will be enhanced to make the market more inviting. These updates will include the introduction of food trucks, additional seating, more shaded areas, and fresh landscaping with more trees. These changes aim to enrich the overall experience, providing guests with an even better environment to enjoy Miami’s diverse culinary offerings.

Smorgasburg Miami is located at 2600 NW 2nd Ave. in Wynwood. For additional event information and updates on new vendors and reopening, visit www.smorgasburgmiami.com
