Pubbelly Sushi to Open West Palm Beach Location at Banyan & Olive

Banyan & Olive, a new mixed-use development in West Palm Beach, will welcome Pubbelly Sushi in the third quarter of 2023. The neighborhood gastropub has five locations in Miami and will bring its five-time James Beard Award semi-finalist, chef/partner José Mendín, to a 3,200-square-foot space on Clematis Street.

“We are thrilled to announce Pubbelly Sushi as the newest addition to the Clematis Street culinary scene,” Andrew Dance says, managing partner of Brand Atlantic Real Estate Partner, a developer of the project. “The Clematis Waterfront District is attracting interest from the best restaurant groups regionally and nationally, and it is so exciting to see the new caliber of dining experiences that restaurants like Pubbelly are bringing to both residents and visitors of West Palm Beach in this next chapter of Clematis Street’s storied history.”

Established in Miami Beach in 2010, Pubbelly features a hyper-creative fusion of Japanese and Latin-inspired dishes by chef Mendín. The new West Palm Beach location will feature Pubbelly’s flagship menu, including fan-favorites Tostones con Ceviche, Short-Rib Dumplings, Big-Eye Tuna Roll and the Instagram-famous #ButterKrabRoll. The Clematis Street location will feature a tavern-like space complemented by Pubbelly’s signature manga artwork – a popular Japanese style of art inspired by comics.

“We are very excited about expanding north and reaching guests in an area that has supported us throughout the years in Miami,” Jorge Mijangos says, chief operating officer of King Goose Hospitality, a hospitality group that operates and manages Pubbelly Sushi. “We are looking forward to welcoming them when our West Palm location’s doors open.”

Banyan & Olive will feature floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive water views, 15,000 square feet of private office terraces, a golf simulator lounge, a 7th-floor amenity loggia with an indoor/outdoor fitness center, an open-air lounge with water views, shaded seating groups and lush landscaping.
