Pub at the Hub’s Party Gras Celebration to Unveil Community Classroom Kitchen in Delray Beach

The event is exclusive to only 200 guests and offers an intimate New Orleans atmosphere.

The Community Classroom Project (CCP) is gearing up to host its third annual “Pub at the Hub Party Gras” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 in Delray Beach. The event will take place at The Hub at Space of Mind and promises to bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to Delray Beach with the Classroom Community Kitchen (CCK) unveiling. Attendees can expect an evening filled with interactive entertainment, Insta-worthy themed rooms, an art exhibit featuring works by professional and student artists, and a fortune teller raffle. The Hub will be transformed into a vibrant carnival to create an unforgettable experience.

The top chefs of South Florida are set to introduce the tempting flavors of the French Quarter to the guests with a range of delicacies, including Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Skewers, Crawfish Boil Risotto, Crab Cake Po Boys, Cajun Pasta, Beignets, and many more. They will also offer a Bananas Foster station to the guests. The libations with a Nola twist will be served to complement the delicious food. The event will also feature brews from Prosperity and Cove Brewery. The guests will enjoy some music by Girlfriend Material, Bill Muter & the Wind Dixieland Jass Band, and student bands Staff Infection and Dust Bunnies.

The highlight of the evening will be unveiling the 1,000-square-foot commercial teaching kitchen at CCK. The culinary haven aims to enhance mental and physical health through cooking and communal dining. CCK is already spearheading transformative programs, such as teen restaurant workforce training, a Chefs Collective focused on mental health, the Heard Mentality podcast, and the 1-for-1 Meal Box Project. With these initiatives, CCK is set to make a lasting impact in Palm Beach.

“This project has been a labor of love four years in the making,” says Ali Kaufman, founder and CEO of CCP and Space of Mind. “With the opening of our commercial kitchen, we’ll begin hosting cooking classes, workshops, dinners, and more. Our versatile space is also available for private parties and event rentals.” She continued, “We can’t wait to witness the kitchen buzz with creativity and connection, enriching the tapestry of our community.”

Participating chefs and restaurants include:

  • Blake Malatesta, The Wine Room Kitchen & Bar
