Miami Spice menus to try this month

The first luxury caterer to participate in Miami Spice, Bill Hansen Catering offers a $39 menu from Corporate Executive Chef Dewey LoSasso. Entre?e selections include coffee-seared filet mignon with roasted peanuts, Glenlivet Scotch barbecue sauce and Miami Shores rosemary roasted potatoes; summer berry barbecue duck with goat cheese polenta and Florida honey chili barbecue sauce paired with a mint-peach salad; and vegan root vegetable chilli topped with tandoori barbecue tofu and served with Asian buns. Finish with dessert options of ricotta cheesecake with red wine and peach compote or grilled angel food cake topped with a rum mojito sauce and sweet mango slaw.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion, Bill Hansen Catering partnered with Perrier Jouet Champagne for special add-ons, including a full bottle ($60) or half bottle ($40) with two souvenir Perrier Jouet champagne flutes.

Whether you’re ordering delivery or eating in the fresh outdoors, Azabu Miami Beach (pictured above) has you covered with inventive Miami-Spice exclusive Japanese cuisine from Chef Sergio R. Rivera. This month’s Miami Spice menu features skirt steak Toban with pickled green apples and sweet onions and Yuzu Kosho butter; Japanese curry with steamed salmon, sweet onions and mango; chicken teriyaki with sweet tare and crispy Brussels sprouts.

Jaya, located at The Setai Miami Beach, offers Asian cuisine by Chef Vijayudu Veena. The Miami Spice menu showcases his best work with appetizers like salmon tartar with chili citrus dressing, scallions, radishes and crispy shallots or cucumber salad with avocado, cilantro mint yogurt, shallots and fresh herbs. Or try one of the Chef Veena’s signature dishes (an $8 supplement): truffle dumplings with shrimp and scallops, truffle emulsion, shaved truffles and chives. Entre?e selections include miso grilled cauliflower, doused in a carrot ginger purée, or wok fried beef with flank steak, Szechuan sauce, shishito peppers, asparagus, broccolini and bean sprouts.
