Luxury Listings, Part 2

This is the second in a series of nine luxury residential properties featured in the April issue of Lifestyle.

Address: 1600 SW 15th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale

By the numbers: 218,959-square-foot lot

Highlights: Considered one of the last epic pieces of waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale, this sprawling lot on the New River encompasses nearly six acres and includes 1,450 feet of deep-water dockage. For now, the property hosts two separate structures—a one-bedroom owner’s home (built in 2018) with a saltwater pool; and a two-bedroom, three-bath layout (built in 2017), also with a saltwater pool. However, the lot is so massive that the next homeowners will have multiple options on the residential front.

The price: $19.9 million

Broker: Sandra Tagliamonte, broker-vice president, One Sotheby’s International Realty; 954.818.4219,

Expert market insights: “There are a number of expected amenities with luxury properties—yacht-sized docks, a guest house, captain’s quarters, etc.,” Tagliamonte says. “Being closer to the nearest port of call—Port Everglades or Hillsboro Inlet—is an attractive amenity as well. From an architectural perspective, the Mediterranean look seems to be taking a backseat to more transitional or contemporary style. I’ve also seen a huge investment in making home technology—telecommunications, security, [controlling the interior] environment—more user friendly.”
