Lifestyle’s Guide to Summer Fun, Part 7

Swim with the Dolphins: The park has been running abbreviated hours and limiting the number of attendees each day, but Miami Seaquarium is open—good news for parents who’d like to share a memorable experience with their children this summer. Along with several marine life exhibits, the Seaquarium boasts up-close encounters; among them, a 30-minute deep-water Dolphin Odyssey, which includes a dorsal pull ride with the mammal. The park also boasts programs with seals and penguins, as well as the 20-minute Sea Trek Reef Encounter, where guests don a state-of-the-art dive helmet and swim with tropical fish, sting rays and other sea creatures.

Catch a Tribute Band: While rock headliners are slowly making their way back out on the road, the music lives on at Stage 954, the entertainment venue inside The Casino @ Dania Beach. A slew of tribute bands will take the stage this summer, including the Boss Project: The Music of Bruce Springsteen (July 3); Classic Albums Live: Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon (July 10); and Majesty of Rock: Journey/Styx (July 17).

Revel in Rosé: A contemporary Greek restaurant at CityPlace Doral is encouraging customers to think pink on Sundays. Heaven Mykonos has launched weekly Rosé Brunch Parties from 1 to 6 p.m., featuring a live DJ and a saxophonist. The brunch menu includes thick brioche French toast (soaked overnight) with cinnamon ice cream; and shakshuka (Mediterranean sofrito, eggs, spices)—as well as 50% off on rosé wines and bottles of Champagne.

Hit the Streets: Walkable boulevards in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties—lined with restaurants, retail and nightlife—have become an integral part of the South Florida scene. Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach is home to buzzworthy eateries and kitschy spots like Silverball Pinball Museum. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale is the go-to road for high-end fashion, art galleries, happening happy hours, and fine dining. And always-bustling Lincoln Road in Miami features whimsical style brands and world-class ethnic cuisine.
