Editor’s Letter: Nautical Adventures in a Luxury Superyacht

Our August issue delves into an elegant 393-foot yacht scheduled to commence its service in 2026.

Emerald Cruises has got you covered if you have ever wanted to know what it’s like to cruise the sea in one of those mega yachts. The forthcoming Emerald Kaia is going to really raise the bar on superyacht luxury cruising. In this issue, we get the inside scoop from Ken Muskat, Managing Director of Scenic Group USA | Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours | Emerald Cruises, who works with his team in Hollywood.

The sleek 393-foot yacht will enter service in 2026 with a capacity of 128 guests served by 92 crew members. One of the striking aspects is how the Kaia will really connect to the sea as it travels to destinations that can’t accommodate larger vessels. Think of doing some stretching on a platform just above the water or hopping on a kayak from a floating marina just off the stern.

We have a couple of interesting takes on health care in this issue.

There’s an in-depth dive into the world of bioidentical hormones with nurse practitioner Carolyn Zaumeyer. As time goes on, more research backs her long-held view that hormone pellet implants can improve the quality of life for men and women.

We also take a look at Almased, which provides a natural health and weight loss protein shake. Almased is addressing a concern shared by many dieters: The body wants to slow your metabolism as you lose weight, which makes it more difficult to do so. Almased has 30 years of research that shows how it helps metabolism, regulate appetite, control blood sugar and promote cardiovascular health.
