Dada Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Tarrimore House With Night Full of Events

Highlights will include musical performances by local talent and a photography exhibit hosted in partnership with the Delray Beach Historical Society.

Dada will host an honorary evening on May 18 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tarrimore House in Delray Beach, where the award-winning restaurant has been located since 2000. The event will feature history, music, art, and gastronomy and will begin at 5 p.m. when guests enter through a fenced-in area along the restaurant’s northern perimeter on NW 1st Street. Various activities and dining options will cater to every taste, including chargrilled cuisines such as steak and seafood, a full bar serving cocktails, and the evening’s signature libation, the “This Old House.” Additional dining will be available in a tented space on the premises. Moreover, there will be live performances on the outdoor stage by S.D. Spady Elementary Chorus, The State Of, and The No Name Ska Band ensure a night of excellent entertainment.

Between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., parents accompanied by their young children are welcome to visit the parking lot across the street. There, they can engage in various interactive activities for children, such as an obstacle course, a bounce house, face painting, plein-air painting hosted by The Peach, a West Palm Beach arts collective, and a sidewalk chalk art competition that offers creative prizes.

Dada’s indoor and alfresco dining areas will be open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., and reservations will be required. The executive chef, Daniel Dore, will prepare past favorites and dishes from the daily menu. The guests will enjoy musical entertainment in the restaurant’s living room by Raul Vallecillo, a member of Dada’s team who will be dressed in Salvador Dali-inspired regalia. Following Raul Vallecillo, Zoo Peculiar, a South Florida-based rock trio known for its eccentric stage name, will perform in the same venue.

The restaurant has partnered with the Delray Beach Historical Society to host an exhibition showcasing photography and other works from the 1920s. The exhibition aims to capture the dynamism of the era when Tarrimore House was constructed.
