clear it with Katrina

In this first installment of what I anticipate will be a meaningful series of articles, I want to tell you a little about myself by explaining my mindset and perspective on how to achieve and maintain an attractive, if not youthful, look.

In my countless years of studying facial skin care both abroad (Eastern Europe, Germany and France) and in New York, I adopted a level of commitment, first to myself and subsequently to my clients. It started by looking at my own personal goals in a holistic way, which included learning about the basic components for looking as great as I can.

I like to set the bar as high as I can for my clients. (I am very much about doing as I do, not just as I say or suggest.) This hinges upon not smoking, getting in as much activity as I can, drinking plenty of water, protecting myself against the sun, drinking alcohol in moderation (yes, I do enjoy wine) and eating organic whenever possible. If I seem boring to you, I assure you that this is far from the case.

While I advise my clients in all of these areas as part of our ordinary banter during facial treatments, I am not offering up any kind of consultation other than what is doled out in the form of suggested skin care protocols. The reason that I think in such broad strokes is because it is clear that there is a distinct connection to how you take care of yourself and how your face appears.

In subsequent articles, I will be sharing insight and tips for making a true difference in how you feel about yourself and how others perceive you. Acne sufferers do not realize how curable their symptoms are without the use of drugs. Stay tuned for next month’s article, which is centered on this critical skin care challenge.

A Facial in a Bottle: Lotion P50

This lotion/toner hybrid is a clear liquid that exfoliates, hydrates and balances the pH of the skin. Use it twice a day, after cleansing and before moisturizer and makeup. To apply, add two small drops to a cotton pad, pat all over face, then rinse.
