Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Host Annual Golf Classic 

The 57th Annual Golf Classic in Memory of Charles “Bebe” Rebozo will be hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade on Monday, March 11 at the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, 13610 Deering Bay Dr. Players can look forward to participating in the highly anticipated annual event, which offers both fun and competitive playing opportunities. Those interested in playing in the tournament can purchase packages starting at $3,500, which includes access to fun on-course contests, lunch provided by Hooter’s, an open bar, and a dinner banquet featuring an award ceremony.

The proceeds from the event will support the crucial programs and services offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade at its six clubs and sites. These programs include educational after-school programs, tutoring and homework assistance, STEM, social skills, dance, arts and crafts, mentoring, and summer and athletic programs. These programs aim to help children realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

The event will kick off with the registration starting at 10 a.m. Participants will also have access to a driving range to practice their swings. Lunch service and a complimentary open bar will be available from 11 a.m. onwards. The tournament will adopt a scramble-style format and begin with a shotgun starting at noon. Following the tournament, an awards ceremony and dinner will take place at 6 p.m. inside the banquet hall of Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club. A live raffle will also be held during the event, allowing participants to win prizes such as golf aficionado items, restaurant and vacation packages, and more.

All golfers attending the event will receive a free sponsor-branded swag bag containing a sponsor-branded polo shirt, umbrella, and golf balls, along with other takeaway items. The package includes parking, green fees, a cart, and all meals and beverages for the day. The guests are kindly requested to dress in country club casual attire or golf attire to maintain the event’s decorum.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade has recognized Anthony Lopez, the Golf Committee Chair, and Olga Guilarte, the Special Events Chair, along with committee members Clint Gulley, Chris Merlo, Alex Quevedo, Fred Rebozo, Ed Soto, and Taylor Walker for their contributions to the 57th Annual Golf Classic.
