Art Exhibit in Fort Lauderdale to Focus on Florida’s Hidden Treasures

An artist who receives his inspiration from the beauty of Florida and an organization that strives to preserve Florida’s history will partner to provide residents an opportunity to enjoy Florida’s natural beauty. History Fort Lauderdale will present “The Art of Tim Forman: Florida Everglades” from July 3 through Sept. 26 at its museum, 231 SW Second Ave.

“Tim Forman’s summer exhibitions are one of our largest draws and we’re looking forward to showcasing his masterful landscape oil paintings,” says Patricia Zeiler, executive director of History Fort Lauderdale. “As a paintbrush historian, he excels at capturing the timeless beauty and serenity of Florida’s hidden treasures. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to experience one of our region’s true talents.”

Forman is a third-generation artist who uses his environmentally inspired works of art to uplift and motivate residents to enjoy Florida’s natural beauty.

“When outdoors, I am drawn to light and the horizon,” Forman says. “My work is influenced by A. E. Backus, who helped me to discover the simple beauty of Florida. I have been painting it ever since.”
