Annual “Taste of Recovery” Culinary Festival to Benefit The Crossroads Club

The fourth annual Taste of Recovery event will feature plenty of savory and sweet bites from various leading area restaurants, along with live entertainment from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Old School Square Pavilion, 51 North Swinton Ave. in Delray Beach. The event will benefit The Crossroads Club, a nonprofit organization in Delray Beach that provides a haven for anyone whose life has been adversely affected by addictive substances.

Participating restaurants scheduled to offer their best bites include Louie Bossi’s Ristorante Bar & Pizzeria, Elisabetta’s Ristorante Bar & Pizzeria, City Oyster & Sushi Bar, Rocco’s Tacos, Josie’s Ristorante, J & J Seafood, Driftwood, Community Classroom Kitchen, Mike’s Chili, Eat Thai, Tim Finnegans, Rogie Pierogies, 800 Palm Trail, Las Catrinas, Subculture and numerous others. The event was founded by Chef Louie Bossi, chef/partner of Louie Bossi’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, managed by Big Time Restaurant Group, which has supported the event since its inception.

“I am so grateful to the Delray Beach recovery community, which has been instrumental in my own recovery,” Bob Higginbotham says, this year’s Honorary Chair, along with Christopher and Joan Finley serving as event Co-Chairs. “I’m honored and humbled to serve as the Honorary Chair for this event and can only hope that by sharing my story, I can inspire others to seek recovery.”

A “People’s Choice” Award will be given to Best Bite with a prize of $1,500. A Critic’s Choice competition will include first and second prizes of $2,500 and $1,000.

“At $50 a ticket, this culinary festival is well priced for an evening to sample fare from our finest area restaurants,” Tony Allerton says, Executive Director of The Crossroads Club.

Tickets are $50 before the event or $60 at the door. Blocks of ten tickets are available for $40 each. Raffle tickets for the Golden Table are available for $10 each, with the Golden Table raffle prize winner receiving a beautifully decorated private table central to all the action with a personal waiter and swag for up to nine of their guests.
