Iconic Italian Neighborhood Restaurant From NYC Set to Open in Wynwood District

Leading the kitchen at Rosemary’s Wynwood is Executive Chef Craig Giunta.

The highly awaited launch of Rosemary’s Wynwood is finally here. The cherished Italian neighborhood restaurant from New York City is set to open its doors in the vibrant Wynwood district (322 NW 25th Street) on Friday, February 7, 2025. Founded by Carlos Suarez, the owner of Casa Nela hospitality group, Rosemary’s Miami marks a special return for the Cuban-English restaurateur, whose family lived in Miami for nearly two decades.

“The foundation of the Rosemary’s concept is comfort, a space to step out of your busy life for a moment and enjoy delicious food at affordable prices in a place that evokes the feel of the Italian countryside,” Suarez says.

Just like its northern counterpart, Rosemary’s Wynwood is establishing its presence by transforming a single-story shoe warehouse and the adjacent vacant lot into a vibrant oasis for outdoor dining, inspired by the Tuscan countryside. This urban farm development is in collaboration with Miami’s Little River Cooperative. In fact, working together with local heroes and organizations like Little River Cooperative is a core principle of the Rosemary’s brand. Without a doubt, Rosemary’s Wynwood aims to offer a thoughtful and refined dining experience rooted in sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, all while showcasing that exceptional design and cuisine can be accessible to everyone.

At Rosemary’s, Giunta will emphasize the use of locally sourced ingredients, many of which will be cultivated in the restaurant’s own garden, mirroring the celebrated rooftop farm of the West Village location. The menu, deeply connected to the land, will highlight a variety of seasonal vegetables, handmade pastas, and fresh seafood. Guests can look forward to an assortment of focaccia, alongside popular dishes such as Eggplant Caponata with roasted vegetables, pine nuts, and agrodolce; Orecchiette featuring house-made sausage, broccoli rabe, Fresno chili, and Parmigiano; and Chopped Salad “Siciliana” with escarole, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, crispy chickpeas, ricotta salata, and almonds. For dessert, they can treat themselves to the beloved Olive Oil Cake, Tiramisu, or Bombolini filled with Nutella crema. A thoughtfully crafted cocktail menu will feature Italian spritzes, zero-proof beverages, and innovative twists on classic drinks, while the wine list will showcase a selection of Italian wines expertly curated to complement the dining experience.

Rosemary’s is named in honor of Suarez’s mother, reflecting her love for home-cooked meals and the vegetable garden she lovingly tends in Lucca, Italy. These cherished memories inspired the creation of Rosemary’s—a restaurant that captures the essence of a family dining room, infused with the warmth and creativity of the kitchen. With a relaxed, botanical ambiance, attentive yet approachable service, and delicious, affordably priced food, Rosemary’s embodies the ideal neighborhood restaurant that every community longs for and deserves.

Rosemary’s at  322 NW 25th Street in Wynwood will open to the public on Friday, Feb. 7. For additional information, please rosemarysnyc.com/location/miami/.
