Le Colonial in Delray Beach Debuts Daily Lunch Service

The French-Vietnamese restaurant has expanded the service due to demand as the season approaches.

Le Colonial in downtown Delray Beach began daily lunch service this week from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Since its opening in February, Le Colonial served lunch only on Saturdays and Sundays.

During lunchtime, customers will have the option to choose from two different Vietnamese bento boxes. The first option is called “The Hanoi,” which consists of Cha Gio (shrimp and pork roll) and Bun Cha (chargrilled lemongrass beef patty with pickled papaya, vermicelli noodles and nuoc cham sauce) and is priced at $28. The second option is the vegetarian bento box, with Bo Bia (chilled vegetable roll) and pickled papaya, vermicelli noodles, and nuoc cham sauce for $28. For a more affordable price of $24, the vegetarian bento box also includes CÀ Tím Xào X? (eggplant and tofu stir fry with steamed jasmine rice).

Many vegetarian and vegan options are available for both lunch and dinner menus at the restaurant, including the recently introduced Goi Ngo Sen (lotus root salad) featuring lotus roots, crispy pickled vegetables, Vietnamese sweet prawns, heady herbs, fried shallot toasted peanuts, and a tangy, spicy dressing priced at $18. Additionally, the restaurant offers a new vegan dish, Com Chien Chay Truffle (signature vegan fried rice with truffle essence), made with Thai jasmine rice, preserved radish, beansprouts, king oyster mushrooms, black truffle oil, and vegan fish sauce, priced at $21.

Also on the lunch menu, diners can find Tom Muc Ngu Vi, made with crispy Florida tiger shrimp and wild New Zealand calamari, seasoned with five spices and served with tamarind sauce and crispy aromatic herbs. This dish is priced at $18. Xiu Mai is also available for lunch, made with heritage pork, Cook’s Venture chicken, wood ear mushrooms, and a black truffle sauce.

Le Colonial is located at 601 East Atlantic Avenue. Dinner in the main dining room is available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The lounge is now open during the same hours as the dining room but will remain open for an additional hour beyond the main dining room each night. The lounge operates on a walk-in basis and serves a complete lounge menu until one hour before closing.
