YAA Celebrating 25 Years!

THE EVENT  Internationally acclaimed artist Kenny Scharf and comedian and actor Aasif Mandvi from The Daily Show will headline an evening of entertainment, spectacular artful encounters and dynamic rhythms during Young At Art Museum’s exciting third-annual gala, YAA Celebrating 25 Years! Presented by the Hudson Family Foundation, the event will be chaired by David and Jodi Epstein, with Charles and Rhonda Johnson serving as honorary chairs.

Guests also will be treated to amazing hands-on art encounters, live entertainment, cocktails by Bacardi and epicurean delights throughout the Museum. There will be a sneak preview of Annual Interest + Supersaturated, an immersive exhibition hosted by Bedlam Lorenz Assembly and featuring works by world-renowned and locally acclaimed contemporary artists Saya Woolfalk, Federico Uribe, Alex Trimino, Misael Soto, Kenny Scharf, Johnny Robles, Peter Hammar, Michael Gellatly, Katerina Friderici and Jacqueline Falcone.

An exciting silent auction will include fabulous gifts such as exquisite jewelry by Levinson Jewelers, cruises by Celebrity and Royal Caribbean Cruises, a Limited Edition Cigar Package by Alec Bradley Cigars and much more.

THE CAUSE  Proceeds from the third-annual Young At Art Gala will support  the Museum’s community programs including ArtREACH, an after school program dedicated to bringing the arts to children living in homeless family shelters; Girls N’ Power, an arts-based academic enrichment program conducted at the PACE Center for Girls designed to increase self-confidence and build self-esteem; the girls participate in the annual YAA Recycled Art Fashion show; and ArtHouse @ Northwest Gardens, a creative placemaking hub with state-of-the-art studios for ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking for residents of the low- income community of Northwest Gardens.
