BROWARD PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION’S ANNUAL CELEBRATION

What: The Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will perform at 8:30 p.m. as part of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation’s Toes in the Sand Annual Celebration. It will commence with an exclusive cocktail reception at 5 p.m. in the Peck Courtyard, followed by dinner in the Amaturo Theater at 6:15 p.m. The proceeds from the evening will be used to support the education and enrichment programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

2024 PEGASUS WORLD CUP

When: Jan. 27

What: The 2024 Pegasus World Cup is renowned for drawing in top-notch Thoroughbred racehorses, as well as A-list celebrities, tastemakers, influencers, and passionate racing enthusiasts. For this year’s event, 1/ST has teamed up with Palm Tree Crew and David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality to create a one-of-a-kind Miami experience, complete with an unforgettable headline performance by the Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ, and songwriter Calvin Harris.

SEAGLASS | A FORT LAUDERDALE ROSÉ EXPERIENCE

When: Jan. 26-Jan. 28

What: SeaGlass is a first-of-its-kind three-day immersive experience that showcases more than 30 rosé varietals from the world’s finest wine regions. The event features a grand showcase of wine, spirits, craft beer, food, and chef appearances, all perfectly paired with live beats and special musical performances, all set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. This year, SeaGlass continues its efforts to support cancer research and treatments across South Florida.

Jazz Fest Pompano Beach 2024

When: Jan. 18-Jan. 20

What: At Jazz Fest Pompano Beach 2024, a stellar lineup of internationally renowned artists will be headlining the festival, led by Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis. The lineup includes Lisa Fischer, Grand Baton, David Sanchez, and Najee. The opening kick-off event will still take place at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, featuring the Valerie Tyson band. Although general admission tickets to all performances are free, registration is required.

ARTSMART LUNCH & LEARN EDUCATIONAL SERIES

When: Jan. 22

What: The ArtSmart Lunch & Learn educational series returns to feature The Ballerina’s Mindset presented by Megan Fairchild, a Principal Dancer at the New York City Ballet. The session is hosted by Steven Caras, a former dancer at the New York City Ballet and a renowned dance photographer. During the event, Fairchild will discuss her recent book, The Ballerina Mindset: How to Protect Your Mental Health While Striving for Excellence.
