4th Annual Shopping Boutique and Luncheon

THE EVENT

For this year’s Not My Daughter…find a cure now! Luncheon, entertainment takes on unique and meaningful focus. The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale will make a fashion statement to help end breast cancer at the annual Shopping Boutique and Luncheon this October 14 at the Marriott Heron Bay in Coral Springs. The eagerly anticipated event is expected to draw more than 500 attendees.

The full day of engaging entertainment begins at 10 a.m. when doors open for the Shopping Boutique with its vast array of more than 40 vendors. The delectable luncheon begins at noon, and includes the fashion show—spotlighting the pre-school age models wearing clothing designed by graduating seniors at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Raffle prizes, high-end silent auction items, photo opportunities, DJ Cris Cruz, and the highly prized goodie bags add to the experience.

Students in the fashion design program at The Art Institute were enlisted to create unique designs for models and young children to display during the luncheon fashion show. Additionally, there will be one-of-a-kind scarves designed by the graduating fashion design students and sold at the event to raise funds for Not My Daughter.

“Not My Daughter is so thrilled to be featuring the work of aspiring fashion designers from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale at our luncheon this year,” says Not My Daughter founder and chairwoman, Denyse Hostig. “We can’t wait to see the imaginative, artistic designs created exclusively for Not My Daughter…find a cure now! We know the audience will be amazed by the incredible creations of these talented rising stars.”

THE CAUSE

The event is the signature fundraiser for Not My Daughter…find a cure now! The volunteer-run organization is dedicated to raising funds and awareness in the fight to end breast cancer. All proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen For the Cure (Miami/Ft.Lauderdale Affiliate).
