19th Annual Wine Spirits & Culinary Celebration

THE EVENT  The Museum of Discovery and Science will host the 19th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits and Culinary Celebration. This year’s co-chairs include: John Ebenger, Berkowitz, Dick, Pollack & Brant; Vivian Porcelli, Bank of America; and Mark Talbott, Republic Services.

Last year had a record 2,000 guests and another sell out crowd is expected. The best and the brightest come out in force for this season favorite.  The event will showcase 40 of South Florida’s leading restaurants and a vast array of wines and spirits from around the world, courtesy of Southern Wine and Spirits. There will also be an assortment of craft beers. Guests will bid on amazing silent auction items and all receive a complimentary Reidel wine glass.  

The evening begins with an exclusive VIP Martini Reception including a seminar as well as early tasting and concludes with VIP exclusive access to the ultra-chic Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort Lounge to eat, drink and dance under the stars. Special seminars feature a champagne presentation by “Champagne Wayne” and a wine tasting by Big 105.9’s Paul Castronovo. Evening attire is City Chic.

THE CAUSE  The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. Founded in 1976 as The Discovery Center, the nonprofit facility serves approximately 450,000 visitors annually. Major operational support for the Museum is provided through generous support by Leadership Guild members including: JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Wells Fargo, Broward Health and Sun Sentinel. 

The Museum is open seven days a week, 365 days a year; Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m. with extended IMAX® hours on most evenings. For more info, call 954.467.MODS (6637) or visit www.mods.org.
